Read the following story:
A fair princess decided to go for a walk one sunny afternoon. She took her usual path through the forest. The princess suddenly stumbled upon a small pond which she had never seen before. She knelt down beside the clouded pond to see if she could spot any fish swimming around. There weren't any fish, but as soon as she prepared to stand up, an ugly, gray toad plopped right into the pond landing on a lonely lily pad. The toad splashed the muddy water all over the fair princess' beautiful dress. She was so upset that she immediately began to weep. The toad replied, "You shouldn't waste your tears on such unimportant matters." The princess was so astonished and frightened that she hurried off back to her castle and left the toad all alone.
"Why is it impossible for me to get a girl to kiss me?" the toad wondered to himself. He continued, "I must always say the wrong thing. I suppose I will have to wait for the next fair princess to come along and grace me with a sweet kiss. Perhaps then, I may once again be a stunning young price." Then, the toad disappeared deep into the pond. The princess decided that she was acting very rudely towards the toad, so she came back to apologize to him. The princess was yet again greeted with a surprise. Not only had the toad vanished but the pond had as well. The princess and the toad had both missed their golden opportunity. Hopefully, their paths will cross again.
