2010 Graduation Ceremony
Wednesday June  9, 2010 – Red Oak Academy showcased its new video classroom operating system last Saturday.  It was most appropriate that the first public use was to host ROA's 2010 graduation ceremony.   The Keynote speaker was Mrs. Heather Fisher, Red Oak Academy Foreign Language and Hig School English professor.  Mrs. Fisher and Mr. McCollum, Director of Education can be seen here conductiong the graduation proceedings.

2010 Graduates Begin Early Acceptances
Wednesday April  7, 2010 – Red Oak Academy is honored to announce the first of its 2010 graduates' acceptance to the colleges and universities of their choices. 
Lorenda Ziazikova of Clifton, NJ has received official notice of her acceptance to Boston College.  Congratulations Lorenda!  She becomes the 427th Red Oak Academy student to be accepted by a major university since 1997.  Watch this space for more information on our 2010 student acceptance to colleges and universities around the world.

Red Oak Announces Switch to Ring Central
Monday November 16, 2009 – Due to the demise of AT&T's Callvantage VOIP services,  Red Oak Academy is pleased to announce a transition to RingCentral's new virtual phone system.  Effective today,  ROA voice lines will be changed to the numbers listed at the bottom of this page and on the CONTACT US page.  It is hoped that a smooth transition to the new system will occur.

2009 Graduates Begin College Acceptance

Wednesday June 3, 2009 – Red Oak Academy is pleased to announce some of the many schools where class of 2009 graduates will continue their studies. Nick Costa has been accepted as a student at The Art Institute of Ohio – Cincinnati. He will begin his study in graphic arts in July 2009. Brian Whitt is enrolled in the scholars program (honors program) at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia. Mo Aiello is going on to attend classes at the Drexel University,
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Watch this space for further update on ROA grads.

Red Oak Academy Announces 2009 Graduates
Thursday May 21, 2009 - Red Oak Academy announces 18 graduating seniors for 2009.  For the first time ever, a live Graduation Ceremony will be held on the Campus of the University of Dallas. A reception and the annual school dance will follow the awarding of diplomas.

Regular, Gifted and Special Needs Students

Addressing the Academic Needs of Students with Learning Differences, Red Oak Academy provides instruction for those who have been diagnosed with one or several of the following disabilities in grades 9-12:

  • Developmental Speech and Language Disorders
  • Social Anxiety Disorder
  • Attention Deficit Disorders
  • Processing Deficits
  • Teen Pregnancy
  • Dyslexia

Additionally, Using Computer-based and Synchronous Internet Instruction, Red Oak Academy is equipped to provide instruction for gifted and regular education students in the following areas:

  • A Traditional High School Curriculum
  • Liberal Arts/Classical Studies
  • College Preparatory skills for Science and Engineering
  • Early College enrollment beginning in 11th grade
  • Independent Accelerated studies towards early high school graduation
  • There is no minimum age limit for gifted student populations

Live video classes

Students may attend daily classes online or work independently. Attendance is documented electronically from student logins.  Video classes are stored and may be viewed at anytime from the Red Oak Academy multicast server website.

Written Assignments are submitted by e-mail or fax and receive individualized attention from each of the Red Oak Academy instructors. Using this feedback, the student prepares the next assignment.  At the end of the course, the student takes a final exam. Exams are monitored by parents at home and by school staff on the Red Oak campus. Grades and transcripts are then generated.
