The addition of evening courses will benefit ROA students in a variety of ways. Not all students are the same and some students do their best work later in the day. Evening courses will also offer an opportunity for working parents to observe their students' activity in the school setting.

Red Oak Launches E-learning Video Classrooms for Grades 9-12

Tuesday September 5, 2006 - High School Students beginning the 2006-2007 academic year at Red Oak Academy will be the first group of Internet home schooled students in history to attend fully synchronous video classes and ALL K-12 students will now have their own personalized e-learning system which will allow parents and teachers to collaborate in grading and student progress.

Across-the-Board Tuition Cuts Set in Face of Global Events

Thursday October 13, 2005 - Reacting to the enormous influx of Katrina refugees wishing to homeschool in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area and the United Nations announcement Tuesday predicting some 50 million environmental refugees in the next 5 years, ROA directors voted unanimously on Thursday to drop enrollment prices for schools and families facing financial hardships as a result of global catastrophes.  The UN alarm follows upon the threat of terrorist attacks and a world-wide influenza pandemic. The ROA directors feel that these mounting conditions have been directly related to the recent surge in ROA enrollment applications.

Following considerable discus-sion, board members voted to extend public and private school discounts to home school families seeking to escape environmental threats to their safety.  The cut amounts to a 45% price reduction- bringing the current $3000.00 annual tuition price down to $1650.00 and making it the most affordable K-12 home school distance learning program available on the Internet.

School officials stated that families can make 10 monthly payments on an installment plan with the first month's tuition being payable in advance.  Textbooks will be made available through online booksellers at minimal cost to parents.  Currently, prices for used textbooks start at $6.00 to $12.00 for most editions.  ROA will utilize online textbook ordering services provided by The Backpack, Amazon.com and other online book-sellers who already serve thousands of public and private schools around the world.

Families enrolling students in ROA's online K-12 program can expect to reap the benefits of ROA's vast knowledge base of Federal benefits available for students who qualify under the aforementioned laws - including gifted, pregnant teens and students with disabilities relative to substance abuse.
Additionally, when students with disabilities graduate from Red Oak Academy, ROA contacts the college or university that the student plans to attend and makes sure that all previously existing modifications and IEP are in place when the student arrives on the new campus.

ROA Boasts Remarkable Track Record for Moving Grads to College of Their Choice

Once the initial contact was made, virtually no college or university chose to decline any of ROA's graduates (since 1999).

To date, ROA has facilitated enrollment for 186 graduates into institutions of higher education including the University of California campuses at Davis, LA and Berkeley, University of Texas, Sarah Lawrence, Penn State, Valdosta State, University of Alabama, Florida State University, USC, Yale, Western Connecticut State University, Case Western Reserve University, Georgia Technical, Navarro College, and Community Colleges in 14 Cities.
