Red Oak Academy Accreditation Information

Red Oak Academy provides State Compliance Assistance (in your home state) to home school families in grades K-10. These services include:

  • written notice to local school district of your intent to home school

  • documentation of your student's enrollment in a private school (Red Oak Academy)

  • electronic documentation of daily attendance provided by the Red Oak Academy automated student database.

  • proof of a sound and viable curriculum (see curriculum)

  • quarterly grade reports, transcripts and annotated portfolios of student work.

Courses taken by students in grades 9-12 who participate in Red Oak Academy's dual college enrollment program through the Dallas County Community College District and other participating colleges and universities - receive full transferable college credit for all of their high school courses through the respective colleges' accrediting agency.

The Red Oak Academy, Inc. accepts credits transferred from public and private schools licensed by any of the 50 states and its territories. Other requests for credit transferability from regional associations of schools and colleges are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
