Joint Enrollment/Early Admissions

Virtually all Community Colleges and many State & Private Universities will allow certain high school students to enter college under the Joint Enrollment/Early Admissions Plan. These programs allow Red Oak Academy students to attend a community college or cooperating university for dual credit in college-level courses.

Red Oak Academy Joint Enrollment Criteria - Community College Students applying with Red Oak Academy under this plan must be at least 15 years of age and have credit for at least 11 of the 23.5 academic units required under the written curriculum sections for high school. Such students should present at least a B+ average, register for the SAT or ACT and obtain an unconditional recommendations from the Internet High School Principal .

Red Oak Academy Early Admission Criteria - Cooperating Universities requirements for state universities are generally more restrictive and vary from state to state. The following is presented as a general guideline:

PLAN A - General Admission Students

  1. Student must be at least 16 years of age
  2. Student must have completed the eleventh grade
  3. Student presents a grade-point average of 3.5
  4. Student must have an ACT composite score of 27*

PLAN B - Academically Gifted Students

  1. Student enrolled in grades 9-12 are eligible
  2. Student presents a grade-point average of 3.2
  3. Student must present an unconditional recommendation from the Internet High School Principal


*comparable SAT scores may interchange by institution
